Rice Salad سلطة الأرز

The rice salad is a classic summer recipe. Quick and easy to prepare, the rice salad can be flavored with the most different ingredients. We have prepared the classic rice salad seasoned with peas, hot dogs, tuna, cherry tomatoes, Gruyere, gherkins and olives. Moreover, to give a touch of spice, we have used a mix of Basmati and wild rice, which has a long, narrow black grain, rich in carbohydrates and proteins. Fresh and colorful, the rice salad brings a wave of cheerfulness on your table and even your children will like it very much.

First of all, bring a pot with salted water to a boil and add the rice. While the water is boiling and the rice is cooking, prepare all the ingredients you'll need to dress the rice salad. Cut the hot dogs and the pickled gherkins into circles.
Dice the peppers and the tomatoes. Then dice also the Gruyere cheese. Pour all the chopped ingredients into a bowl and then add the rice.
Cut the pitted olives into circles and chop finely the chives. Then pour the frozen peas into the pot where the rice is cooking.
Once all the ingredients are ready, pour everything into a quite large bowl, add the rice and the peas, the tuna and finally the chives. Stir everything well, cover with cling film and let it rest in the fridge for at least an hour so that it cools down and the flavors blend well.
