Chocolate Apple Bread خبز الشوكولا والتفاح

Original Recipe Yield 1 loaf

Ingredients
  • 25 g white sugar
  • 0.6 g ground cinnamon
  • 30 g finely chopped walnuts
  • 250 g all-purpose flour
  • 3 g salt
  • 2 g baking powder
  • 2 g baking soda
  • 1 g ground cinnamon
  • 0.8 g ground nutmeg
  • 115 g margarine, softened
  • 200 g white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 5 ml vanilla extract
  • 30 ml buttermilk
  • 125 g chopped apples
  • 50 g walnuts
  • 45 g semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions
  1. To make the topping, in a small bowl mix the sugar, cinnamon and finely chopped walnuts. Set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl combine flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Set aside.
  3. In a separate large bowl cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla extract, and mix well. 
  4. Gradually beat in flour mixture alternately with buttermilk. Stir in apples, walnuts, and semi-sweet chocolate chips. 
  5. Pour into a greased 9x5x3 inch loaf pan. Sprinkle with topping.
  6. Bake in a preheated 350 degree F (175 degree C) oven for 50 to 60 minutes. Cool for 15 minutes. Remove from pan. Cool on a wire rack.
